With Bryes Company

November 17, 2010

They were footsteps!  He began to breathe quietly, his heart began to beat so loud that he thought that the men in the hall would surely be able to hear it.  Slowly, he turned his head towards the door.  there were lights in the hall, moving around like people were rushing by.

Aryk got out of his bed, and slowly made his way to the door.  The door began to move.  Aryk swung it wide open and burst through.  but, to his surprise, the person opening the dor was his own good freind Brek.

“Aryk, I was about to wake you.” Brek said surprisedly “Three guards spotted Efrosains in the city!”

“That is terrible news.  Give me a moment to gird on my sword.”

“I shall wait for you here.”

Aryk returned to his room, upon the wall above his bed hung his sword. He had forged it himself, and he had done it well to.  on the hilt he had carved both his own name and the name of the sword, Revan.  on the pomel he had carved an eight pointed star, his families mark.  He strapped the great two handed sword across his back and  put on his helmet.

“Come Aryk, we must hurry, the Efrosains still don’t know that we know that they’re here.”

They hurredly exited Aryks house and ran towards th town hall.  on the outside you couldn’t tell that anyone was inside, However, upon entering you could see that it was in fact swarming with men.

“Brek, Aryk!” shouted Aryks father “Go with Brye and his company to defend the church, or they’ll burn it down.”

Brye’s company was two hundred fifty in number, all well trained and seasoned soilders.  that was why they were chosen rather thav a larger body of untrained, unorganized rable.  And, aside from the Moytiers personel guard and the main body of the armies of Arken, Brye’s company was the best.

They arrived at the church and began tocreate a sheild wall.  Aryk had no shield with him, so there was a gap, but everyone there knew that Aryk could more than make up for this, he could even hold his own against ten men.

The Efrosains saw the shield wall shining in the moonlight.  They charged with a yell!  The Rekanes held their ground.  The wild heathens hit the shield wall with tremendous force causing the Rekanes to give a full two feet, but this was quickly regained.  One of the foe tried to stab Aryk with his spear, but Aryk sliced it in half and then brought his sword down on the owner of the spear.  A hefty Axe hit Breks shield with full force and it would have knocked him down if Aryk had not grasped him by the arm and pulled back him up.

“Advance!” shouted Brye over the yells and screams.

They advanced upon the Efrosains, hewing them down like dogs.  They quickly retreated before the mighty swords and the impenetrable shield wall of the Rekanes. The blood soaked the ground, and the bodies were strewn thick on top of it.

The Efrosains renewed their attack, it had been a trick. But the surprise didn’t last long, the Rekanes drove them away as quickly as before.  Then from behind another force attacked, and nearly beat the Rekanes all the way to the church walls!  But thankfully the well seasoned troops had not ran towards the fight and wasted themselves and left themselves vulnerable to attack.

An ax was about to come down on Aryk, when Brek raised his shield to cover him, he then received a blow to his leg and fell down.

“Brek!” Aryk shouted.

“I’m fine, just help me up.”

Aryk pulled him up and stabbed a foe immediately after doing so.  Another stabbed at him and yet another tried to slice his neck, he dodged the stab and blocked the slice.  He then ran one through, the other grabbed him by the helmet and pulled it off as Aryk dispatched him.  By this time Breks leg was almost covered in Blood, and he wasn’t using as extensively as he had been.

The night was cold, but every one of Brye’s company was sweating like the sun was at its highest.  The moonlight was shining so bright that the soldiers could see perfectly, but if they actually wanted to see all the slaughter and blood shed that had taken place there I can’t say.

Aryk had just slain another foe, when a loud shout arose from the enemy and, all of the sudden, all those directly in front of him tried to burst through the shield wall by the gap that his lack of shield had caused.  Aryk fought them back as best he could but there were to many, far to many.  He dug his heels in, but it didn’t work, they just pushed him back.  As a  sword was about to strike him to remove him from their path for good Brek jumped in!

“Oh no you don’t! he shouted as he, with his strong arms, good sword, and good shield, pushed the enemy  backwards.

“Good work Brek, and thank you.”said Aryk, gratefully.

The battle raged on as the night got darker, and the moon hung lower in the sky.  The men were exhausted, and with good reason, for it was far past midnight.  Brek’s leg was soaked, and he was hardly using it.  At times he was standing on only one foot, in an effort to assuage the pain.

At long last a large body of soildiers arived, and began to attack the Efrosains from behind. At this the Efrosains fled the town, and the battle was over.

Aryk glanced around, the Efrosains were nowhere to be seen.

“We’ve won.” he said “We’ve won!”

“Huzzah!” shouted the men “Huzzah, huzzah!”

Brek retreated to the church steps and sat down.  Aryk sat down next to him.

“how is your leg?” he asked.

“Terrible, just terrible.” he answered.

Aryk looked at it.  It was on his thigh, and very deep, and his leg was covered in the blood that flowed from it freely.

“I’ll get you a physician.”

“Thank you Aryk.”

“You saved me countless times in that battle, it’s the least I could do.”

They grasped each others wrists and shook warmly.  As Aryk was going to get a physician he met both his father and Keyf, Breks father.

“Aryk.” said Keyf “Good too see you, do you know where my son is?”

“I do sir, he is just outside the church, I was going to get a physician for him.”

“why what’s happened?”

“He has a deep wound in his thigh.”

“I shall find one for him.” said Aryk’s father “You there, come with me.

They arrived at the church and saw the wound, which the physician immediately began to dress.

“How did that happen son?”

“In the fight I saw that an Efrosain was about to slay Aryk.” he began “So I raised  my shield to defend him, for he had no shield of his own, and in doing so I received this wound.”

“Well you fought Bravely my son.”

“Aye, very bravely.” repeated Aryk’s father. “I have decided that you two will remain in Brye’s company.”

“Thank you father, but how do we know that there will be any more attacks?”

“We don’t know son, but we must remain careful.”

“Well Seyrd.” said Keyf, addressing Aryk’s father “We should see to the others shouldn’t we?”

“Aye.”

And with that they left; Soon the physician left as well.  Brek moved his leg around, stood up and walked a few steps, limping a good deal.

“How does it feel?” asked Aryk.

“It hurts a small amount.  but it will soon heal.”

“That is good.”

“Do you think they will come back Aryk?”

“I don’t know, Brek, I don’t know.”

Footsteps

November 16, 2010

Aryk stood outside his families house in Arken.  His father was a member of the council, and a close freind of the Moytier (the noble in authority over the council).  Aryk had asked his father if he could go on a trading vessel bound for Zarren.  his father had said no, Aryk was now waitig for his freind Brek.  Upon his arrival, the two set off at leisurly pace and began coversation.

“So what did your father say?”asked Brek.

“no.”he aswered.

“Well I can’t go either Aryk.”

“Aye, it probobly wouldn’t be much fun without good companion like you.”

“I supose we can still go watch the ship depart.”

“Aye, we can.”

There were a few moments of silence as they both tried to think of something to talk about.  finally Brek broke the silence.

“The Moytier is going isn’t he.”

“Aye.”

“And that leaves your father in charge doesn’t it?”

“Aye!”said Aryk somewhat exitedly.

He was somewhat proud, because his father was the Moytier’s second.  They continued to talk until the subject of Efros and the wars came up.

“Those Efrosains haven’t attacked our shores in eleven years, have they?”said Aryk.

“They haven’t.” Brek replied “And for eleven years our men at arms have stood idly in the fort, waiting.”

“Aye.”

They reached the dock and saw the merchant who owned the ship that was departing.  He was shouting out orders in his loud ringing voice.   He was tall and strong, with handsomely combed hair and a beard, and a mustache that was nicely curved.

“Ah, Aryk and Brek.”he said politely.”What brings you here to my ship on this grand day.”

“We wish to bid you and your crew farewell.” said Aryk.

“I thank you sirs.”

“Eolf, I know you are a merchant, but spare your flatery for your customers.”said Brek in a rather embaressed voice.”

“Aryk, Brek, good to see you!” said a ma who had just walked up.

Brek grasped him firmly by the wrist and said “Good day Cerr.  I trust you are departing with Eolf?”

“Aye.  And you?”

“We must stay here at Arken.” he answered.

After having said many farwells, Aryk and Brek set off towards Breks home.

“Did you see the ship named Aeflos?” asked Brek.   “Aye, but never before.”

“It hung low in the water.”

“And its stern was rather high.”

“Aye. Like an Efrosain ship!”

“But other than that she was a perfect Rekane ship.”

“Aye.  But keep watch, just in case.”  That night, as Aryk was about just about to fall asleep, he thought he heard footsteps in the hall!

Long ago…

November 15, 2010

Long ago and far away, to the west of Selctornia, lie the nine isles of Rekane.  In the north, by the great river is the capital Zarren.  Upriver is Forsen, a small  but friendly village.  South of the western moutains is Arken, a wealthy trading port.  These are the three cities located on the largest isle, there are four other cities on smaller isles, Artar, Caven, Moset, and Torma.

Far to the south west is a dark and evil land known as Efros, its inhabitants are pagans bent on destroying everyone who does not bow to their king and idols. But in their way, stand the nine isles of Rekane.  Being a christian nation, the Efrosains hated them greatly!

Into this land was born Aryk, a bright young lad, brave and strong.  The following stories will tell you of his many adventures from the northern plains to the smallest of the isles!

How The Biblical Flood Could Have Happened.

February 15, 2010

I showed you this before, but I didn’t explain it very much.

In the Asteroid Belt there could have been a planet that was very unstable.  It is labeled T.P., for Theory Planet.  A large comet hits the planet and the force of the impact shatters the planet.
Much of the debris is sent hurdling towards Earth.

In the upper layer of the atmosphere there could have been a layer of ice protecting the Earth from many of the harmful rays of the Sun.

The debris from the Theory Planet could have crashed into this to cause it to fall down, freezing many of the mammoths. The seismic waves could have caused Earthquakes, Volcanoes and flooding.

There were under ground water chambers.  The pressure could have busted them open.  Sending vast amounts of water into the air.

The volcanoes would send ash into the air causing it to snow, hail and rain.  warmer oceans would cause hurricanes larger than any thing we have ever seen.

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth(a), and the windows of the heavens were opened.(b)
Genesis 7:11

a.  The under ground water cambers are the fountains of the great deep.

b.  The ice layer is the window of the heavens.

More On Debating Evolution

April 22, 2009

First look here at my Debating Evolution post.

I’m now doing a in depth step by step way to debate evolution.

Step #1.  Creationist version- In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Evolutionist version- In the beginning dirt made a dot that exploded.

Which one is more ludicrous?  And that dirt was drawn from all corners of the Universe, what caused this to happen?

Step #2.  Notice these Galaxies

They’re spinning differently!  The dot of dirt was spinning causing centrifugal force to make it explode.

Example: put six year olds on this thing.

Get some one strong.  (a.k.a. my brother) to spin it around, they  keep yelling  ”faster, faster!”  Then they enter stage two: shut up and hold on.  Then stage three: yelling “sto-o-o-o-op!!”  Then stage four: in which they come off the merry-go-round spinning the same way as it!

Step#3.  If the Galaxies are millions of yrs. old the arms of the Galaxies would have been drawn in by the gravity.

Step#4.  They say that the  Elements are made in pre-historic stars.  That however is not possible, because stars are not able to fuse iron, when they do, they explode.

Step#5.  Scientists have never seen a star form so it might not be correct that they form from Nebulae, and because they have not seen one form it could be that they are formed in such a way that it prohibits the formation of planets.  Also if it was Nebulae gas it would only form the gas giants.  (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.) Thus eliminating Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars and Pluto.

Step#6.  And Jupiter is said to have a solid core, which means it is not able to be made by Nebulae gas

Step#7.  They claim that there was no atmosphere, not even oxygen.  however they also say the rocks that were there absorbed the oxygen (that was not there) and made primordial soup.

Step#8.  Evolution is a gain of genetic information, this is not possible.

Step#9.  They believe that beneficial mutations are the way some animals evolved.  Beneficial mutations are not real, scientists have mutated a sheep which turned not into a giraffe, but a short leg sheep.

Step#10,  Evolutionists say that Dinosaurs evolved into modern day birds through the missing link Archeopteryx. They say it is a missing link partly because it has teeth.  Look at this.

Yeah, so much for that idea.

There you have it proof against evolution!

Name change

I guess some of y’all are a little confused about my blog.  No it’s not a problem.  I just got my name changed to Dusty.  (No, it doesn’t mean I gave up on taking showers.)  Well, any way I’m a Cowboy now!

Debating Evolution.

March 8, 2009

This will be your step by step guide to debating evolution.

First you need to know about evolution.

The Evolutionist Time-scale.

  1. There was nothing in the entire Universe.
  2. All the dirt in the Universe came together and formed a tiny dot, smaller than a period.
  3. It started to spin, then it exploded, all matter came from this.
  4. All the elements were made by stars.
  5. A nebula was compressed, and formed the Sun.
  6. The left over gas formed the Planets.
  7. After millions of years Earth cooled down, and it had no atmosphere.
  8. The rocks absorbed the oxygen.
  9. Then for millions of years it rained on the rocks.
  10. The water reacted with the rocks, and it made primordial soup.
  11. Out of the soup came the first amoeba.
  12. It evolved into a sea creature.
  13. Then a amphibian.
  14. Then reptile.
  15. Then Dinos and mammals.
  16. Dinos to bird and extinction.
  17. Apes eventually evolved into Homo-Sapian.(Humans.)
  18. Then Homo -Sapian-Sapian.(Modern humans.)(Sapian=wise.)

Okey-doke. Here are the steps to debating evolution

  1. Start at the beginning, tell them that your theory says in the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth, and theirs says in the beginning dirt turned into galaxies.
  2. The dot was spinning, causing the galaxies to spin. Point out that some galaxies are spinning backwards.
  3. Say if the Universe is millions of years old, then why are there still arms on the galaxies?
  4. Then say that  the elements can’t evolve in stars because a star can’t go past iron.
  5. Then point out that scientists have never seen a star form and nebulae want to spread, not compress.
  6. And Jupiter is said to have a solid core.
  7. Tell them if there was no oxygen what did the rocks absorb?
  8. Then say that evolution is a gain of genetic information which is imposable.
  9. They will bring up beneficial mutations. No such thing, they mutated a sheep, 2″ legs.
  10. Bring up the dinos. they will bring up archaeopteryx, it had teeth, it is a missing link. lots of birds have teeth.
  11. They say that apes evolved into humans because they think that ape and human DNA differs in 2%,that 2% has been shown to be 95%.

Theres your step by step guide to Debating Evolution.
